Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from therapy?

Therapy with me is conversational, direct and collaborative. Some sessions are serious. Some are uncomfortable. Sometimes we laugh. You do not need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

Who do you work with?

I work with all ages and individuals, couples and families dealing with relationship issues, anxiety, life transitions, substance use and recovery, family conflict, men’s issues and the everyday challenges that can make life feel harder than it needs to.

Do you offer in person or virtual sessions?

I offer both in person and telehealth appointments, depending on your location, needs and availability. I have office space in Newtown and Buckingham, PA, and you are welcome to come in person.

Do you accept insurance?

My practice is primarily out of network. I can provide documentation for clients who have out of network benefits and would like to seek reimbursement from their insurance company.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through the contact form, through email, or give me a call. We’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

What if I've tried therapy before, and it didn't help?

Not every therapist, approach, or point in time is the right fit. If therapy hasn’t helped before, I want to understand why. What worked? What didn’t? What felt missing? My approach is active, conversational and straightforward. I won’t just sit back and expect you to do all the talking. I’ll listen, ask questions, offer feedback, challenge you when it’s useful, and probably laugh with you sometimes too. Therapy should feel like a real conversation with a real person, while still doing meaningful work.
